Contract Manager


The Smulders Group is an international organization with a total of approximately 800 employees spread over 4 main entities: Iemants, Willems, Smulders Projects and Spomasz located in Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland. 

The core activities of Smulders Group consist of the construction, manufacturing, supply and assembly of steel constructions. They are sub-divided over 3 market segments: 
• Wind & Renewables
• Offshore Oil & Gas 
• Civil & Industry 


Job Profile:

On the basis of your experience with the working of the construction industry, you make sure that good and clear contracts are made between Iemants and its principals. That starts with the offer stage by reading and analyzing thoroughly tender files and other project documents. After that, you will be involved in the negotiations between Smulders Group and its principals, suppliers and contractors to make sure that all agreements are settled. During the execution of the works, you watch  that everything goes according to the fixed estimates and aggreements. You identify and estimate potential ‘variations and claims’. Finally, you anticipate on possible contractual anomalies and opportunities and you fulfill an advisory function regarding the project manager. 


Job Requirements:

You already have experience with the working of the construction industry as project manager, architect, calculator, legal advisor  or commercial assistant,… You are interested in ‘exploring ‘’ all aspects of contract management. You will need your technical, communicative, administrative and commercial skills.
